Cold Isostatic Pressed & High-Temperature Sintered ITO Targets for Display and Solar Industries
Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) targets are specialized ceramic sputtering materials in the thin-film deposition industry, offering a unique combination of optical transparency and electrical conductivity. These targets are widely applied in flat panel display and electronic device industries, solar photovoltaic industries, precision optics, and energy-saving smart glass industries.
ITO targets are composed of indium oxide (In₂O₃) and tin oxide (SnO₂), typically in a 90:10 mass ratio, with a purity of ≥99.99%. In flat panel displays and electronic devices, ITO thin films are used for transparent electrodes in LCDs, OLEDs, and touch screens. In solar photovoltaics, they serve as front electrodes and conductive layers for thin-film solar cells. In energy-saving and smart glass, ITO coatings are used for electrochromic smart windows and other specific functional layers, subject to membrane design and process validation. In precision optics, they are applicable for anti-reflection coatings and related optical films.
UV Tech Material LTD. (UVTM), a national-level SRUI "Little Giant" enterprise established in 2003, has developed a comprehensive manufacturing process for ITO targets based on cold isostatic pressing (CIP), high-temperature sintering, and bonding. The CIP process applies uniform pressure from all directions, producing green compacts with uniform density free from delamination and cracks. Subsequent high-temperature sintering achieves full densification, with a typical relative density of ≥99.5% of theoretical density. The company's ITO targets are available in rotary and planar specifications.
As of August 2026, the company has obtained over 100 effective patents, including 73 invention patents and 34 utility model patents. Supported by its extensive patent portfolio and a 35,000+ square meter standardized production base, UVTM has achieved large-scale manufacturing capabilities for cold isostatic pressing and high-temperature sintering processes. All products undergo rigorous quality control and comply with relevant management system standards. UVTM's products have entered overseas markets including Japan, South Korea, Europe, and the United States.
UVTM offers comprehensive technical support ranging from material customization and backplane bonding to large-area sputtering applications.
